Peter Gabriel, a founding member of the British rock band Genesis, will be on 02.05.2012 Olympiahalle in Munich to present his guest and elaborate orchestral show "New Blood". Advance he was in a lengthy interview (provided by the Promoters Group Munich) to answer questions. "Many people were probably very skeptical about the orchestration: Ah yes, there is again an artist older and booked an orchestra to jazz up its program to - no thanks! And I know that sounds like this: Now we move on to the cabaret and hope to have met with some veterans' respect - or whatever you want to call it. But that was exactly the reason why we are entitled to the whole 'New Blood' - have been - 'Fresh Blood'. Because we wanted to say: No, that is precisely not the way we wrestled around on the matter, the things we are trying to really get to the bottom and try and see if we can not accomplish anything new.
Perhaps we have reached this target is not always, but I think there are places on the disk, where you hear something that there was so never heard. And that of course is what is always the most exciting thing for me.
John Metcalfe, I've met in different ways. He was not afraid to be daring. And I wanted to take a bold album. We have thrown out the complete Rock Band. Most people who devote themselves to keep the orchestra and band take their projects to the Orchestra only. But we have taken out the guitars, we have taken out the electric bass, we have taken out the entire drum kit, and thus we were much more committed to use the entire color palette of the orchestra really.
When John [Metcalf] and I first met, we have a few names thrown around. And when we as a track like "Intruder" were reached, was also the name of Hitchcock, because it provided a specific reference. Has put together because I think some songs have been implemented almost cinematically, and Bernard Herrmann, Hitchcock's great composer and arranger was definitely an influence on the way John [Metcalfe] the arrangements for "Intruder". Takács Quartet
The Takács Quartet are matchless, their supreme artistry manifest at every level. In any quartet, players' individual traits are always apparent, yet, with the Takács, every facet of their musicianship serves the music in such a way that the character and personality of the composer emerges with extraordinary intensity. The most familiar music takes on a new purity and significance.
At their Pittville Pump Room recital, the Takács balanced works by Haydn and Dvořák of such genial disposition as to make the world seem a better place. Haydn's Lark Quartet, Op 64, No 5 was conceived as a vehicle for the brilliant violinist Johann Tost. Edward Dusinberre wears his virtuosity so lightly that it's easy to take it for granted, but this performance was remarkable for the differing tone-colours with which he invested successive violin themes, and the sympathetic responses of the other three voices pointing up the warp and weft of the musical fabric.
Affinities with Haydn were highlighted in Dvořák's Quartet in E flat major, Op 51, where textural complexities belie the lyrical ease of the melodic writing. The Dumka highlighted Dvořák's fertile imagination, while the Allegro finale's irrepressible energy set a radiant seal on proceedings.
Between these two, and forming the emotional core of the evening, came Britten's Third Quartet, written in 1975, the year before he died. Its five-movement form may be Bartók's, and the Burlesque recalls Shostakovich, but the work is quintessential Britten. The Takács imbued it with an atmospheric, elegiac quality. More moving still was the sense of a composer facing death and having the courage to look back on a creative life, quoting from his opera Death in Venice and ending on a questioning note, though with philosophical serenity rather than regret.

Belowhead live in Freiheiz
Bellowhead play in early February in Freiheiz MünchenAm 02/01/2012 Freiheiz occurs in Munich in the English folk band Belowhead on in their very first tour in Germany. The ensemble of 11-member cast (including brass quartet) has already been several times for best live band excellent and is therefore regarded as England's concert sensation. At the Folk Awards 2011 BBC Radio 2 from them, for the fifth consecutive year, the prize for "Best Live Group" award. On stage, the lights of the big band music Belowhead even more than on CD. Why? The culprit is the innovative, original and brilliant mix of folk, jazz, world music, rock, funk and classical. This creates a completely new, contemporary sound.
At the Tour of Germany are among other compositions by the 2010s work "Hedonism" on the program. Melissa Etheridge Live at Tonhalle

Just one year later she released her self-titled debut album, "Melissa Etheridge", for which sales figures, in spite of lower production costs, multi-platinum was given ". Since I am in my office life much radio as background music use (not anything but a good boy FluxFM, as befits a music-interested brat like me) is one I hear often gone over the German text and I'm like "not again, what of Thees Uhlmann and associates. "
This time I had to sit up but I think it was with the "uh-Huuu." A German, almost bluesy indie-rock ballad with honest lyrics about dangerous and sad hipster girls.
The band: Manual Kant come from Bavaria, specifically from Landshut. This fate they share with chip shop, which also come from the charming town.
The label on the other hand (Richard Mohlmann Records) share with Kant Manual Ghost of Tom Joad. Still ne promising German band. May indeed be the only good career accordingly.

New products and products for climbing rocks
Like last year I had last weekend at the OutDoor Show in Friedrichshafen and looked around, expecting that new and existing products are all about climbing and bouldering 2011th
Although the absolute sensation though I was missing something, I could make a few highlights track down all the products that are specially interesting for climbing and a backpack, walking stick, slip GPS navigation monotony of the great press editors. The GriGri 2, a new Season Five Ten climbing shoes, the new La Sportiva Python and also one or two other small discovery can be found in my report of the OutDoor 2010 ...
OutDoor is the most important event of the outdoor sports and climbing industry. Every year in Friedrichshafen trade fair for the international audience, along with various competitions and a comprehensive program. Exhibitors present their latest innovations and developments that we expect by 2011 in the shops. Besides the whole circus around fair trade products has always been THE place to people personally know and socialize. The OutDoor 2010 was for me and the RokBlog very positive, despite the tight schedule, I have many plans and discuss partnerships and look forward to 2011.
The climbing shoe market in 2011 will have many new candidates. FiveTen has a full season of new weapons in the program: "Blackwing" is a remake of the successful "Dragons" - but with velcro. The older semesters is now perhaps a vague memory flashes: "Dragon Velcro - moment that there was a few years ago but ever!" Correct, update, or Revival is simply the "Blackwing" but not yet.
