The Head and The Heart

Sometimes, very few, which I hooked to a subject just at a point in time after having heard dozens and dozens of times. Are you that ever happened? It's strange listening to this disc at a time number 76 and the subject matter shines like if you discovered for the first time. This is what I have lived these days with 'Cats & Dogs' and also 'Coeur D Alene', the two open issues that self-titled album from The Head and The Heart of which I raved last by October 2011.

In less than six minutes that last two issues we enter fully into the festive mood that emerges from the fabulous tunes of Josiah, Jon & co. In fact so far I never had stopped to look closely at the video clip of 'Cats & Dogs' production that I think serves as a glove to describe the innocence and good rollismo in which we live submerged to enjoy these big boys.

Still do not know The Head and The Heart? What are you waiting?

Father John Misty - Fear Fun (2012)

I see you've made to direct several radio talk shows and Americans. I review one by one all the videos and promotional material is uploaded on him recently. No doubt: Father John Misty is just a role, a fun role that the former member of Fleet Foxes Joshua Tillman has been playing for some months. The purpose of this whole roll circus is clear: get to ensure the jump to stardom of a type that has finally managed to "Fear Fun" style the best LP of a long and extensive discography.
This new album is a delight. That folk so meticulous and transparent Joshua has peaked over the past years has managed to merge with a rock vocation dirtier and brighter than of yore. Hypnotically "Funtimes in Babylon" get captivated from the start with a halo as "western" we just convincing - at least temporarily - the current and neglected look of the singer was born as a consequence and not as an end.
The melodic 'Nancy From Now On' is the second single from a compact in which gleam comes into its own three issues that it will generate the envy of Robin Pecknold and the rest of former colleagues of Fleet Foxes. The first of these is 'Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings', an eloquent hymn in Tillman's voice reaches a vibrant echoes that bounce to get points stratospheric. No doubt: it is THE song of the album.

The second is 'This Is Hatched Sally'; melody with a certain bartender with which Baltimore gets us closer to a slow and seductive dance paso doble (remember his bloody music video?). Nor forget the ballad 'OI Long to Feel Your Arms Around Me', where red passion gives way to a sad and melancholy atmosphere that fits perfectly in the gloomy galaxy introduced by the creator of "I Will Return".
If you are the records that tell of tortuous figures under discussion between drugs and love most savage and irrational, "Fear Fun" can be your disk. Give a listen and you will understand why J. Tillman has decided to create an identity - that of Father John Misty - who distances himself from the others by high doses of sarcasm, sourness and savagery.

The fallen genius who at 27 took leave of this strange world and went to build their chaotic and exciting habitat beyond. Kurt the leader of Nirvana, a photographer today that helps us to understand thanks to the images that took 5 months before his suicide.

In 1993 Jesse Frohman was a young graduate of economics, race was determined to not exercise. One day he grabbed a camera and did not let go more. One day I had to do the photos that would change his life. The artist photographed light Cobain just months before his suicide. By that time the man behind "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was out of rehab and was saved from the dead after a heroin overdose.

The first thing the singer asked to get to where you would the session was a bag to vomit, Frohman recalls. "You know, he was very drugged but still contentment on some level. I have met people like this before, but this was only because I was photographing someone with glasses on. He would have not taken, so I could not make eye contact easily, "recalls the photographer.

'Rhetoric' of The Broken, a topic not included on your hard

This May 8 finally sees the light in physical form 'Red', the new work of The Broken, one of the most promising rock bands in Barcelona. 'Red' gets to be published, finally, by the independent label Casafont Records. After problems between the band and their previous album, The Broken manage to take control of his artistic career and present this work the way they consider appropriate.

'Red' is presented as a short film, halfway between the LP and EP. Seven tracks that exude intense attitude of the group. His vocation classic style and flavor with no trace of naphthalene. Portentous on the ropes, final on the beat. Flashes as 'Youth' or 'City bedroom' is the watchword of roto'n roll, a term coined to distinguish the sound of other hearths. Intensity offset that taste good with longer lethargic and deep melodies, like the beautiful 'The dance floor'.

In short, a good catalog for the palette of sounds of The Broken, which with it and go on their second job. Furthermore, the arrival to the best shelf 'Red' (reviewed here) comes with a gift. Courtesy of The Broken, exclusively in Binaural, you can get the free download of the song 'Rhetoric' single-version-which is not included on the disc. This theme was conceived as a single piece and then led to 'Rhetoric I and II', cuts that do appear in 'Red'. To download the song you have to click on the button attached. This application allows you to download the song in exchange for a tweet or post a comment on your Facebook wall. Thus, a unique gift that you can get The Broken Binaural only.

Listen to streaming the new album from The Cribs

Today it is now selling internationally, "In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull", fifth studio album from The Cribs. The British Trident brand was three years without LP, and returning the ring could not have been more compelling, much of the topics listed on the disc and keep the hook attached to the extolled in 2004 with their debut album and 2005 with "The New Fellas".

The big change between this new job and the previous 2009 change lies in training who has lived the whole of Wakefield in the past year. If memory do you remember that Johnny Marr of The Smiths is said to join the group in 2008, and together they recorded "Ignore The Ignorant". Jarman now has touched the fly without escort (Marr is focused on his solo project) but that has not run out of gas. Upside: in this new LP is cane for a while. "Uptight" is the best example of the new era of a band that Prees the accelerator really hard to return to lead the British charts.

Soundgarden and superhero in the video for 'Live To Rise'

Media Spain has had the opportunity to go through the movie theater to enjoy the "Avengers" (The Avengers), without a doubt one of the blockbusters of the season. To finish making the most of the film starring Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson here you have the official music video for 'Live To Rise' by Soundgarden just made public only a few minutes ago.

This new video intersperses images of Marvel Studios macroproducción with some other of Chris Cornell, Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron and Ben Shepherd playing a kind of warehouse. Usually this clip is not anything groundbreaking but recognize that I liked that you can view the same video in Mrs. Scarlett Johansson and "Jesus Christ" Cornell.Who knew a couple of years ago that both were to appear in something!.
